Traditionally as the conclusion of the concert year, the Gerhard Aflenzer Broadway Big Band presents the last program highlight with Swinging Christmas. Enjoy the most famous and popular songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Chris Rea, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Glenn Miller and many other greats of show business. Embark on a pre-Christmas music journey with titles like 'White Christmas', 'Let It Snow', 'Winter Wonderland', 'Santa Claus Is Coming In Town', 'Driving Home For Christmas', 'Last Christmas' etc. After last year's success, Gerhard Aflenzer was able to win the great cabaret artist and one of the most successful musicians in the country OTTO JAUS as Special Guest again. Quote from Otto Jaus: 'I have noticed I must take time for myself'. We are very pleased that he has taken time for 'Swinging Christmas' again and his talent and skill will be felt in this concert event. With 'Pizzera & Jaus', he regularly creates big hits. He was born in Vienna in 1983 and began his vocal training with the Wiener Sängerknaben in 1992. In 2003, he began a four-year training at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna. Two years later, Jaus won a one-semester scholarship at the WestLB Sommerakademie Krickenbeck at the Royal Academy of Music in London under the leadership of Mary Hammond and Karen Rabinowitz. He worked, among other things, in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and in 'Die Dreigroschenoper' at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt. This year, he is with Pizzera & Jaus on tour in Germany and Austria with 'Jetz‘ kummst ma auf de Tour'. Swinging Christmas - A must-attend event for every Swingfan!
