Mind & Illusion: A Sonic Realm- Music for Saxophone, Sheng, and Electroacoustic

When sound becomes space and consciousness becomes landscape, we enter a sonic playground where reality and imagination converge. Bringing together artists from Taiwan and France, this interdisciplinary project takes the "Realm" as its conceptual framework, with contemporary music at its core. Five new works are specially commissioned from Taiwanese and French composers, bringing together the ancient Eastern sheng, the modern Western saxophone, and electronic sounds shaped by 21st-century technology. Across cultures, eras, and media, these distinct sonic languages meet on a shared stage, creating a dialogue that transcends geographical and artistic boundaries. Rather than simply sitting in the audience, listeners are invited to follow the movement of sound and light, stepping into a space between reality and imagination. Here, the boundaries between stage, performer, sound, and audience dissolve, revealing an unprecedented landscape of sound and experience.
