Pi-hsien Chen 2026 Piano Recital

Pianist Pi-hsien Chen draws on Schubert and Bartók, distilling decades of musical experience to look beyond technique and reveal the essence of music. From Schubert's spirited and experimental Piano Sonata in B Major, D. 575, through Bartók's 14 Bagatelles, Op. 6, a turning point in his musical language, to Schubert's late masterpiece, the Piano Sonata in B-flat Major, D. 960—her first public performance of the work—Chen reveals the profound and pure spirit of an artist shaped by time. She also dedicates this concert to the memory of Mr. Jerry Yung-Kun Tsao, Chairman of Jadex Audio Ltd., on the 20th anniversary of his passing, in gratitude for his generous support of her piano studies during her formative years.
