About
Performed by the TNNUA String Orchestra, directed by LI Yin and JUO Jia-Shiuan, commentary by SHIEH Fei-wen, this concert gathers string works by Nordic, Central European, and British composers, each rooted in the landscapes of home. The first half opens with the Nordic clarity of Sibelius's Romance in C and Finzi's English pastoral Romance, closing with Janáček's Moravian-flavoured Idyll. The second half turns to Elgar—the sincere Serenade in E minor, the wistful Elegy, and the grand Introduction and Allegro, closing the journey home.
