Emanuel Feuermann Memorial Concert

Emanuel Feuermann Memorial Concert: The Emanuel Feuermann Memorial Concert commemorates the great cellist Emanuel Feuermann and keeps his artistic legacy alive. Emanuel Feuermann taught at the State Academic Music School in Berlin from 1929 to 1933, before being dismissed by the National Socialists. The memorial concert takes place annually in November, around his birthday on November 22nd, and connects all editions of the Emanuel Feuermann Festival Berlin. It brings together outstanding cellists and former winners of the competition, paying tribute to Feuermann's importance in the history of cello playing and ensuring that his artistic legacy remains continuously accessible.
