Filmsinfonik: Chaplins «Goldrausch»

Charlie Chaplin's silent film 'Goldrush' (1925) is a classic – and more than that: Various scenes from it have become self-standing and experienced their own iconic cultural history. For example, the one where he eats his shoe and winds up the laces as if they were spaghetti; or the famous bread dance, which he shaped just as fantastically and musically. By the way, musically: A part of the film music for 'Goldrush' was designed by Chaplin himself. Now Frank Strobel conducts the soundtrack live during the film screening.
