Klavierrezital: Igor Levit

Igor Levit has often played Beethoven's Piano Sonatas - individually, in groups or as a whole cycle. But how freshly he thinks and experiences and shapes them each time: This can be heard in every one of his concerts. 'I know how my day was', he said briefly before a Beethoven performance, 'I know what is happening in my head, how I am feeling. What will happen in the concert, I do not know.' In the first of his two recitals in the Beethoven Year 2027, he takes four Sonatas for himself, early and later, famous and less known - to rediscover them together with the audience.
