Kosmos Kammermusik: Lisa Batiashvili & Giorgi Gigashvili

In 2021, Lisa Batiashvili established a foundation with the aim of supporting young Georgian musicians. One of them is the now 26-year-old pianist Giorgi Gigashvili, who appeared in our Young Series last year, gave his debut with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich the week before – and is now also to be experienced in a chamber music program with the violinist. The two have performed together on several occasions. This time they will play Violin Sonatas by Bartók and Franck, as well as a tribute by the Georgian composer Josef Bardanashvili to his inspirator Giya Kancheli – in which the love of the two composers for Tango cannot be overlooked.
