About
In November 2022, the Georgian pianist Giorgi Gigashvili presented himself to the Zurich audience in the Série jeunes. Now, the 26-year-old returns as a soloist in Ravel's G-major Piano Concerto – a week after his compatriot Lisa Batiashvili, with whom he has performed multiple times and who has supported him through her foundation for years. Additionally, Paavo Järvi conducts Beethoven's 'Fidelio' Overture op. 72 and Wilhelm Stenhammar's Symphony No. 2: A work that has gradually developed from a hidden gem to a favorite piece of many conductors.
