About
In search of chamber music inspired by Switzerland, the Wind Soloist Ensemble has found it four times: The framework of the program is set by Central Swiss Joseph Lauber, who has found his own tone between Brahms' Romanticism and French Impressionism. Honegger's 'Danse de la chèvre' was inspired by an alpine Swiss goat; Stravinsky composed his three pieces for Solo Clarinet in Lausanne and dedicated them to Winterthur patron Werner Reinhart. Lastly, Zurich Composer Gotthard Odermatt composed his Variations for Oboe and Bassoon as a virtuoso commission work for the international competition 'The Muri Competition', whose artistic direction is shared by Matthias Rácz and Martin Frutiger.
