About
The concert is exclusively for schools and can be booked via Schulkultur Stadt Zürich and Schule+Kultur Kanton Zürich. The opera in the Concertsaal? Yes, that works well, even without a sprung floor and wings. Eva Buchmann has already shown this at the Tonhalle Maag, where she conjured up everything needed for Haydn's Opera 'Lo speziale' from a Fiat 500. Now she presents again a tempo- and intrigue-rich love comedy in a half-staged version with Rossini's 'La scala di seta'. Already in the famous overture, this opera premiered in Venice in 1812 sets its musical machinery in motion, to which Rossini's characters are subsequently helpless. The amorous relationships are complicated, the orchestra under the direction of Jan Willem de Vriend will help the secret love pair overcome many obstacles – but in the end everything turns out well.
