- Gioacchino Rossini«La scala di seta» («Die seidene Leiter»)
About
Tickets for non-members will be available approximately three weeks before the concert. Members receive an invitation (starting from category Bach). An opera in the Concert Hall? Yes, that works well, even without a stage and backstage area. Eva Buchmann has already shown this at Tonhalle Maag, where she conjured up everything needed for Haydn's Opera «Lo speziale» from a Fiat 500. Now she presents again Rossini's «La scala di seta», a tempo- and intrigue-rich love comedy in a half-staged version. Already in the famous overture, this opera premiered in Venice in 1812 sets its musical machinery in motion, to which Rossini's characters are subsequently doomed. The amorous relationships are complicated, the orchestra under the direction of Jan Willem de Vriend will have to help the secret love pair over many obstacles – but in the end everything turns out well.
