About
A Sunday spent in a museum is always a stimulating experience. Combined with a concert featuring musicians from the State Philharmonic, the visit becomes a special event, especially in a significant art venue like the Bode Museum on Berlin's Museum Island. In the museum's Gobelin Hall, various ensembles perform chamber music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern periods. Afterwards, visitors can explore the museum independently or as part of a guided tour – and, of course, admire the specially selected "Artwork of the Day." Here are some of the pieces to be performed: * Paul Hindemith: Overture to "The Flying Dutchman" (performed by a makeshift orchestra at 7 am in the fountain of the Blatt) * Dmitri Shostakovich: Five Pieces for Two Oboes and Piano * Isaak Dunajewski/Sergei Dreznin: Fantasy on the Film "Circus" for Violin and Piano * Arvo Pärt: Mozart Adagio for Violin, Cello, and Piano * Nino Rota: Improviso for Violin and Piano * "Un diavolo sentimentale" by Béla Kovács * "Sholem Alekhem, Rov Feidman and After you, Mr. Gershwin" for Clarinet and Piano * "Till Eulenspiegel – once differently" op. 28 for Violin, Clarinet, Horn, Oboe, and Double Bass In collaboration with the Berlin State Library – Prussian Cultural Heritage Instrumentation: * Violin: Krzysztof Specjal, Tobias Sturm * Violin: Krzysztof Specjal, Tobias Sturm * Viola: Joost Keizer * Cello: Aleisha Verner * Double Bass: Kaspar Loyal * Clarinet: Sylvia Schmückle-Wagner * Oboe: Sabine Müller, Mathias Baier * Sabine Müller, Mathias Baier * Horn: Sebastian Posch * Piano: Dana Sturm
