Programme
- Music from distant radio days
About
Popular music from Berlin - that's what the second concert promises with 'Music from distant radio days'. A bow is drawn from the Berlin Operetta, represented by composers such as Paul Lincke, Eduard Künneke and Paul Abraham, to Film and Promenade music. The lively music culture of the Imperial era and the Weimar Republic is illuminated, with some well-known pieces but also less frequently heard ones that rightly belong to 'elevated entertainment music' and were often anchored in the radio repertoire. Music from Vienna and Berlin with sounds from dance halls and variety shows. Dirigent: Christian Thielemann, Staatskapelle Berlin
