Philip Glass at 90: Symphony No.15

The first UK performance of Glass’ powerful new symphony, inspired by Abraham Lincoln and the enduring importance of democratic values. Philip Glass has forged an unmistakable musical language over more than six decades, built on repetition, clarity and cumulative emotional power. Written in 2022, the Symphony No.15 is one of Glass’ most recent large-scale works. Inspired by Abraham Lincoln’s Lyceum Address, the Symphony considers questions of democracy, law and civic responsibility.
