Programme
- Wolfgang Amadeus MozartDon Giovanni
About
According to his servant Leporello, Don Giovanni is said to have already loved 2064 women; the number of those whose hearts he has broken is likely not small. The opera about the gallant yet morally corrupt seducer Don Giovanni was transformed into the 'Opera of all Operas' through the harmonious collaboration between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte, in the words of Richard Wagner. The work, first performed in Prague in 1787, is more than a drama about love and seduction, lust and vice, rape, murder, and revenge.
