How can one defend injustice with a clear conscience? The young Seyma is a lawyer and is about to face her first trial. Her conservative Turkish family has left her behind, and she has started a new life in a law firm. As a defense attorney, she must now defend a client accused of human trafficking and pimping. He is convicted based on the testimony of a forced prostitute—but Seyma, according to the law, must review the case. And at the next hearing, the witness is nowhere to be found.
