About
Stravinsky's Petrushka, a ballet about a puppet named Petrushka who experiences unrequited love, strikes gold with its use of folk tunes and exceptional orchestration. It is an ear-tickling roller-coaster ride. Poulenc's whimsical suite from his one-act 1924 ballet Les Biches, which revolves around random attractions among the guests at a house party, is accompanied by a performance of Gershwin's Concerto in F by renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
