Eva Ollikainen Conducts Sibelius

Finland's natural beauty and national pride are evoked in Sibelius' Fifth Symphony, particularly in its breathtaking finale with a portrayal of swans soaring majestically over the landscape. Håkan Hardenberger, referred to as 'the best trumpet player in the galaxy' by The Times of London, is the soloist in the World Premiere of a new concerto by Unsuk Chin. The program also includes Tchaikovsky's colorful Italian snapshot, Capriccio italiano. Eva Ollikainen conducts.
