Schubert's Great Symphony, known for its smooth flow of beautiful melodies, lively rhythms, and grand scale, is one of the landmarks of the Romantic period. Principal Bassoon Judith LeClair performs the World Premiere of Kevin Puts's Bassoon Concerto. Florence Price's Dances in the Canebreaks were inspired by African American rhythms.
