NSO Paul Huang & Friends - Dancing Through Centuries

The NSO's performance featuring Huang Junwen and his friends, a chamber music concert, began with Haydn's classic work, "The Lark," which opened with a graceful melody and lively movement, creating a clear image of the lark soaring freely in the morning light. Haydn not only established the classic standard for string quartets, but also established the tradition of using a waltz-like form in the third movement. Dvořák's second piano quintet is renowned as his most fresh and natural chamber music work, and its use of Bohemian dance material creates a truly immersive experience. The rhythmic patterns of the music were not limited to the European continent.
