About
Nikolaus, the founder of the Vienna Philharmonic, is best known for his opera "A Midsummer Night's Dream," which he adapted from Shakespeare's original work. He vividly portrayed the quirky and eccentric characters from Shakespeare's play. Haydn's only concerto, featuring the violin, cello, oboe, and bassoon, is full of beautiful melodies and playful moments. Johann Strauss' waltzes transformed Vienna into the waltz capital of the 19th century, and even Richard Strauss, from Germany, was greatly influenced by him.
