NSOI: Alexander Shelley conducts Star Wars & The Planets

Embark on a cosmic journey from the vastness of space to the magic of the silver screen with National Symphony Orchestra Ireland , conducted by Alexander Shelley. The evening begins with Missy Mazzoli’s Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres), hailed by the BBC as “music in the shape of the solar system.” This mesmerizing piece draws listeners into a hypnotic orbit, echoing the motion of planets and stars. One can’t but think of NASA’s successful Artemis II mission this year, humanity’s voyage around the moon.
