About
Thomas Søndergård has revealed that Richard Strauss is one of his favorite composers. In this event, Strauss’ only work for piano and orchestra will be showcased, with Yeol Eum Son making her Minnesota Orchestra debut as the decorated soloist. Mahler's Symphony No. 5 also features prominently, including a moving Adagietto, which some scholars have described as a love letter to his wife, Alma.
