About
Opera / Opera in concert You may know Antonio Salieri as the man accused of killing Mozart in the film Amadeus. This idea is completely unfounded, and historical research refutes it. In reality, Mozart and Salieri respected each other. Fortunately, after this concert, you will associate his name mainly with the witty opera Falstaff, ossia Le tre burle from 1799. In this work, the anti-hero of Shakespeare courts two married women, who respond to him with humor and intelligence. B’Rock, the Chamber Choir of Namur, and a wide cast of soloists, with the Croatian baritone-bass Krešimir Stražanac in the leading role, color this humorous and bold musical comedy. A beautiful tribute to one of the great composers of the 18th century, conducted by the conductor René Jacobs.
