Beethoven Symphony 9

Concert "Alle Menschen werden Brüder": tous les hommes deviennent frères. This idealistic quote signed by Friedrich Schiller, which resonates more than ever today as an urgent call for unity, has been immortalized by the Ninth Symphony. From a simple and recognizable melody, Ludwig van Beethoven builds in the final movement a series of masterful variations, translating Schiller's hope from his Ode to Joy. Conductor Iván Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra will bring to life the full richness and power of this iconic work, the fruit of a composer's relentless effort who succeeded in surpassing all conventions. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome and Beethoven Year, more than a hundred choristers from all European Union countries, including several members of the MM Academy, will gather on stage in Brussels to celebrate this universal music.
