About
Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's dance explores the early minimalist works of Philip Glass through four pieces – Music in Contrary Motion, Music in Fifths, Music in Similar Motion, and Music with Changing Parts – that he composed between 1969 and 1970, after his meeting with Ravi Shankar. With GLA55, the choreographer pushes to the extreme a radical language based on repetition, trance, and a reduced choreographic material. Circles, spirals, and movement structure the performance. Six dancers from Rosas, along with the ensembles Bl!ndman and Ictus, unite their talents in this immersive musical experience. This production is part of Troika Dance.
