About
Concert In honor of Lithuania's presidency of the Council of the European Union, the country will celebrate two of its greatest opera stars in Brussels: tenor Edgaras Montvidas and soprano Asmik Grigorian, who was elected 'Best Female Singer of the Year 2025' at the International Opera Awards. The program will also feature the colors yellow, green, and red through works by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, another great cultural pride of Lithuania. You will also be able to enjoy the finest opera arias, including selections from Lohengrin (Richard Wagner), Madama Butterfly (Giacomo Puccini), and I Lituani (Amilcare Ponchielli), which seem to have been written especially for these soloists. To conclude, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra will perform a work from the Belgian repertoire: Joseph Jongen's orchestral fantasy.
