Lila Downs

It’s been quiet around her for three years, but now Lila Downs is back. With »Cambias mi mundo«, the socially conscious singer-songwriter from Oaxaca, Mexico, delivers her most personal album to date: songs that blend sentiment, a sense of new beginnings, and a newfound lightness. With powerful rhythms and moving melodies, Lila Downs tells stories of new beginnings, hope, and change. The eight musicians bring the diversity of Latin America to the stage – authentically, captivatingly, and movingly. For the Cologne audience, which is always open to new musical experiences beyond the classical repertoire, this evening becomes a journey of discovery. A concert that will linger in the memory – long after the final note has faded.
