New Year's Concert 2027; Tomáš Netopil conducts Prague Symphony Orchestra Piano: Miyuji Kaneko

"The Prague Symphony Orchestra," a renowned Czech ensemble, returns to Fukui! In 2024, the Prague Symphony Orchestra captivated audiences with its rich sound, and in response to the call for a repeat performance, it will return to HHF alongside the acclaimed Czech conductor, Tomáš Netopil. The program features two iconic works: Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, which allows you to fully appreciate the orchestra's deep string sound and vibrant wind instruments, and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 ("Emperor"), a masterpiece. In particular, Beethoven's "Emperor" is a highly anticipated work that could not be performed during the pandemic. Featuring pianist Kinji Miyashita, who says, "Beethoven is my musical roots," as a soloist, this performance marks a momentous occasion for the 200th anniversary of his death. Enjoy this festive and uplifting performance, perfect for the start of the new year.
