Politische Perspektiven

Leaning back in the velvet chair is sometimes allowed. Here, not! The Hamburg State Opera has launched a new format called CLICK in – debate: Political Perspectives in the 2025/26 Season – which will take place three to four times per season. In 60-minute conversations with a guest, moderated by the house's dramaturgy, societal and political topics relevant to current opera productions are discussed. Because music theater is always also a mirror of the world – it addresses what moves society. The conversations take place in front of an audience at the opera stabile. They offer the opportunity to get to know fascinating personalities, listen closely to them, and delve into themes beyond the stage performances. Seven days after the event, the conversation is published digitally: Everywhere where podcasts are available.
