bfree – Ode an die Freiheit

The Stegreif Orchestra is known for its innovative approaches to classical works. This is also the case with 'bfree': We experience Beethoven's 9th Symphony in an extraordinary, re-composed version by the Stegreif Orchestra. Artistic contributions by Leipzigerinnen and Leipzigers expand the evening with new facets around the central theme of freedom, which is worked on regularly in workshops at the Gewandhaus and with Stegreif. Together, the participants cast a completely new light on Beethoven and on what his music can mean today.
