Since the DR Vokalensemble was founded in 2007, the choir has been recognized as a unique combination of singers who can both perform virtuos solo parts and blend seamlessly together, creating a single, powerful voice – and touching the heart. The choir has always had a special connection to Danish and Nordic composers. With a long list of premieres and award-winning recordings, the 18 singers have demonstrated their unique "take" on Nordic music, while also shedding new light on composers such as Francis Poulenc. You can experience all of this with your own ears when the DR Vokalensemble and chief conductor Martina Batič invite you to a celebratory concert in the beautiful church space of Roskilde Cathedral. The program includes choral works by Per Nørgård and Francis Poulenc. The final program will be announced in the spring of 2027.
