This year's Easter concerts with the DR Vocal Ensemble and Martina Batič delve into the deepest themes of Easter, with music by a number of masterful composers. Paweł Łukaszewski's evocative Responsoria Tenebrae create an intense, almost dark atmosphere, where the voices carry both sorrow and hope. Alfred Schnittke's Three Psalms add a dramatic and meditative dimension, while Andris Dzenītis's musical prayer provides space for reflection and sincerity. Arvo Pärts iconic Nunc Dimittis radiates quiet transcendence, and Georgy Sviridov's The Red Easter concludes the concert with a powerful narrative of suffering, hope, and redemption.
