About
Following the success of our popular workshops for choir singers at DR Concert Hall in recent years, we are delighted to welcome you to another afternoon dedicated to choral music, where you will work alongside professional singers from the DR Vokalensemble to perform one of the most beloved, religious works for choir: Mozart's Requiem. Together, we will create a large choir, with singers from the DR Vokalensemble joining our participating guests. Conductor and host Carsten Seyer-Hansen will lead the choir through the afternoon's musical workshop, where we will explore Mozart's moving work together. During the workshop, you will receive tips and inspiration on warm-up and vocal technique from Carsten Seyer-Hansen and the professional singers from the DR Vokalensemble, and we will also explore the history behind the creation of this famous work. To conclude, we will perform an informal mini-concert for family and friends, for which tickets can be purchased on the DR Concert Hall website. The event is aimed at amateur choir singers of all ages and vocal ranges. However, a maximum of 100 participants can attend for each vocal range. Sheet music: • You can choose to purchase a copy of the sheet music for your vocal range along with your workshop ticket. We will then send you the sheet music by post in advance of the workshop. • If you do not wish to purchase the sheet music, you can bring your own or borrow a copy when you arrive at DR Concert Hall. Practical information: • The event starts at 13:00 and ends when the concert is over, approximately at 18:00. • There will be a break with tea, coffee, and cake during the day. • The final "concert" starts at 17:00 –
