Himmelsk lys

Among the winter months, February is the brightest, providing a clear indication that warmth and light are returning. In the past, Candlemas, meaning "light festival," was celebrated at the beginning of February – but our own time and our own city also have their own light festival. The Copenhagen Light Festival, for example, illuminates streets, buildings, and waterways with vibrant colors, beautiful patterns, and dazzling light sculptures. As part of the festival, the DR Vokalensemble (DR Vocal Ensemble) also illuminates the beautiful space in the Marble Church with music that explores sunlight, moonlight, starlight, the Northern Lights, and the heavenly light of eternity. The concerts in recent years have been completely sold out, so it is important to secure tickets in advance!
