About
With ›La voix humaine‹, Francis Poulenc created a monumental work: Based on a play by Jean Cocteau, it is about the end of a love affair, with all the accompanying moments of hope, self-disappointment and despair. Barbara Hannigan uniquely makes the heart-breaking monologue of the protagonist her own and in an impressive performance – projected live on the large screen – fuses the roles of conductor and singer.
