As a thank-you for his interpretation of her oratorio ›La passion de Simone‹, Kaija Saariaho transformed the eighth station of her ›Passion‹ into the floating sonic form ›Lumière et pesanteur‹ in honour of the conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen.
