About
The Magic Horn is an interactive concert in which we bring Gustav Mahler’s fairy-tale world to life together. Imagine: a piano stands alone in the room. Soft, crackling music drifts out from within it... You press a key and the air fills with something that is nothing yet, but could become anything. Then you press a second key... Lovely! A third key. No, that doesn’t sound right. Perhaps… this one? Before you know it, you’re floating in a wondrous world between once upon a time and never, full of beautiful stories with special surprises. When suddenly an arm dances out of the piano or a colourful tree grows, you know for sure: right in the middle of your head, between your left and right ear, anything is possible! De Wonderhoorn was created in 2025 for the Mahler Festival. Please note: narration during this concert will be in Dutch.
