Kungliga Operan
Kungliga Operan (the Royal Swedish Opera) is Sweden's national opera, founded by King Gustav III in 1773. The current building on Gustav Adolfs torg in Stockholm, opened in 1898, seats 1,206. It presents opera, operetta, and concerts, and is home to the Royal Swedish Ballet. The company has a strong tradition of both international repertoire and Swedish works.
