Slovak National Theatre
The Slovak National Theatre (Slovenské národné divadlo) was founded in 1920 and is Slovakia's oldest professional theatre. Its historic building dates from 1886, while a modern new building opened on the Danube riverfront in 2007, seating up to 1,500. The company presents opera, ballet, and drama with a strong emphasis on Slovak and international repertoire.
