Place des Arts
Place des Arts is the largest performing-arts complex in Canada, at the heart of Montréal's Quartier des Spectacles. Beyond its resident companies, it presents a wide classical programme — the Orchestre Métropolitain, Les Violons du Roy, chamber and baroque ensembles and film-with-orchestra concerts across the Maison symphonique, Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and smaller halls.
Orchestre symphonique de Montréal
Founded in 1934, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal is one of Canada's foremost orchestras, led by music director Rafael Payare. Since 2011 it has performed at the acoustically acclaimed Maison symphonique at Place des Arts, with summer concerts at the Festival de Lanaudière and in Montréal's parks.
Opéra de Montréal
Founded in 1980, the Opéra de Montréal is the largest francophone opera company in North America. Its mainstage season plays at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier of Place des Arts, with chamber and community productions at venues across Montréal.
