LA Philharmonic
The LA Philharmonic performs primarily at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Frank Gehry-designed landmark that opened in 2003 in downtown Los Angeles. The hall's distinctive stainless steel exterior and Douglas fir interior seat 2,265. Gustavo Dudamel served as music director from 2009 to 2026.
LA Master Chorale
Founded in 1964, the Los Angeles Master Chorale is the resident chorus of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and one of the world's leading choral ensembles, performing at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Its season spans choral masterworks, contemporary premieres and innovative stage productions.
Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra
Founded in 1968, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra is one of the world's premier chamber orchestras, led by Music Director Jaime Martín. It performs across multiple intimate LA venues including Zipper Hall, The Wallis, and Rothenberg Hall at The Huntington, with programmes spanning orchestral, baroque, chamber and recital series.
LA Opera
Los Angeles Opera was founded in 1986 and is based at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles. With a capacity of 3,197, it is one of the largest opera companies in the United States. The company presents a mix of standard repertoire and new productions, and has featured stars such as Plácido Domingo, who served as general director from 2000 to 2019.
