Elbphilharmonie
Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the Elbphilharmonie opened in 2017 atop a former warehouse in Hamburg's HafenCity. The Grand Hall seats 2,100 with vineyard-style seating and acoustics by Yasuhisa Toyota.
Hamburger Staatsoper
The Hamburg State Opera (Hamburgische Staatsoper) is one of the world's leading opera houses, founded in 1678 as the first public opera house in German-speaking lands. Its current building near the Dammtor station seats 1,675 and is home to the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hamburg Ballet. The company is renowned for its commitment to both the standard repertoire and contemporary works.
