Angelo Branduardi

Two exceptional musicians, countless instruments and a musical journey brimming with poetry and magic: for decades, Angelo Branduardi has been one of the most extraordinary artists on the European music scene. With his unmistakable voice, virtuoso violin playing and a unique blend of folk, classical and medieval sounds, the Italian singer-songwriter captivates audiences far beyond his country’s borders. His music is timeless, poetic and deeply moving – inspired by ancient melodies, forgotten stories and great poetry. With »Confessioni di un Malandrino«, Branduardi, together with the versatile multi-instrumentalist Fabio Valdemarin, presents an extraordinary concert in an intimate duo setting. The two artists are bound not only by a long-standing musical collaboration but also by a deep friendship. With playful ease, they switch between the violin, guitar, piano, flute and other instruments, constantly lending Branduardi’s compositions new timbres. Well-known classics meet rarely performed musical gems –, stripped back to the essentials, full of emotion, virtuosity and that special magic that has characterised Angelo Branduardi for decades. A concert evening that enchants and lingers long in the memory.
