Sergey Sadovoy

On 21 May 2027, concert accordionist Sergey Sadovoy will present a classical solo programme in the Schubert Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus, featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti and selected original music for the accordion. The focus of the concert evening will be on works by Johann Sebastian Bach, whose polyphonic structures and tonal architecture take on a unique perspective when performed on the concert accordion. The programme is complemented by virtuoso works by Domenico Scarlatti and original compositions for the accordion. The concert accordion reveals its extraordinary tonal and dynamic range – from transparent polyphonic structures to a rich, almost orchestral sonority. Sergey Sadovoy is a classical concert accordionist and lives in Frankfurt am Main. His repertoire ranges from Johann Sebastian Bach and Domenico Scarlatti to significant original works for accordion from the 20th and 21st centuries.
