About
Guitar, singing, dance: these are the key elements of flamenco today. Traditionally, »palmas« – rhythmic hand-clapping – and shouts of encouragement are also part of it. The result is passionate and fiery, performed with grace and melancholy. The roots of flamenco lie in the mists of history, in an ancient melting pot of cultures in the south of the Iberian Peninsula. One of the great flamenco guitarists of our time, Daniel Casares, is now bringing this spirited genre to the Vienna Konzerthaus, accompanied by another guitarist, a singer and the dancer Manuel Montes.
