About
The Physicians Chamber Orchestra of Taiwan (PCOT), formed by healthcare professionals, has long promoted music within the medical community and supported charitable causes. Following its 35th anniversary, PCOT launches the 2026 "Beyond Boundaries Series," curated by conductor Chih-Chin Yang, bringing together physician-musicians from Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore with emerging soloists. The inaugural concert features Taiwanese violinist Tzau-Yan Andy OuYang, currently pursuing further studies in the United States, performing Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in d minor. The program also includes Aslamazyan's Variations on Handel's Passacaglia and Suk's Serenade for Strings. Through the rich sonorities of a string ensemble, the concert celebrates musical connections across borders and professions and opens a new chapter for PCOT.
