[Weiwuying Showtime] Red Theatre Group Meet A Staged Concert—B-Side Playlist

Behind every screen, there is a heart longing to be completed. Red Theatre Group turns human frailty and desire hidden deeply in our soul into soaring melodies through original Chinese musicals. Ｍeet A Staged Concert—B-Side Playlist brings together highlights its most popular productions: Meet, Chef in Style and The Dress , inviting audiences to be moved through the power of words and music. This staged concert centers on Meet as its core narrative framework. The story follows Hero, a boy with Asperger’s traits, and Man-man, a live streamer whom he meets online by chance. In an attempt to revive her declining viewership, Man-man invites Hero to join her live stream, which gradually transforms Hero’s repetitive life. Just as things begin to fall apart, Man-man suddenly drops a bomb – the live-stream partnership must end! Confused, Hero must confront his inner fears by leaving his front door to search for the truth! As Hero searches for Man-man, their growing understanding of each other between the pair, they turn into guides within the story, taking us on a journey into two drastically different worlds of life. Performed by the original cast, Inred LIANG and LEE Man return to the stage, demonstrating remarkable adaptability, as they shift seamlessly between roles. Through their performances, Chef in Style revisits questions of dreams and family, while The Dress reveals the loss and longing beneath its grand surface. Intertwined with lyrical melodies from three different productions, can a boy who fears leaving the house and a girl who hesitate to pursue her dreams become the missing pieces in each other’s lives? A musical journey about discovering, understanding and healing, giving you the courage to take just one step further.
