About
This concert brings together more than 20 Hakka music and performing arts ensembles from across Kaohsiung, featuring nearly 500 performers of all generations in a spectacular collaborative production. Centered on the theme of "Intergenerational Heritage, Cultural Roots, and Artistic Excellence," the program weaves together children's choirs, traditional Hakka mountain songs, Hakka song and dance, mixed choral works, and contemporary crossover ensembles in six thematic chapters, showcasing both the rich traditions and evolving creativity of Hakka music.Opening with the pure voices of a children's choir, the performance gradually unfolds through musical portraits of Hakka tea-picking culture, hometown memories, and refined choral artistry before culminating in a grand finale performed by the full ensemble. More than a concert, it is a vibrant celebration of Kaohsiung's Hakka cultural legacy—honoring tradition while embracing innovation—and offers audiences an inspiring musical experience distinguished by artistic excellence, cultural depth, and heartfelt emotion.
